Learn how to live “Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck” at RiverRun Bookstore
Author will answer questions about planning for your future at June 12 event
PORTSMOUTH, NH — Millions of Americans are in the endless cycle of living paycheck to paycheck, but author Michael B. Rubin says it doesn’t have to be that way.
Rubin, who will release his new book, “Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck,” on June 29, will be available to answer questions from the public after a presentation and book signing at RiverRun Bookstore in Portsmouth, N.H., on June 12 at 7 p.m. Advanced copies of the book will be available for purchase that evening and there is no fee to attend.
The financial planning book presents a unique, yet simple, dialogue about income and wealth that will inspire and educate readers from any walk of life. This unbiased, occasionally humorous but always easy-to-navigate financial guide has been called a “must-read” for all college graduates — and anyone else who is ready to live “Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck.”
Arthur F. von der Linden, Jr., founder and principal of Wingate Financial Group, praised the book’s “unique, conversational format” and “unbelievable glossary,” saying it is “The most straightforward financial planning book you’ll find. (It’s) understandable by the financially clueless, yet extremely beneficial to those who have already begun.”
Rubin, who founded the financial education company Total Candor® prior to writing the book, said it is his goal to show young adults that planning for their financial futures isn’t as daunting as it may seem.
“Despite the appearance of poor habits and a sense of indifference, most young adults really do want to improve their financial futures — they’re genuinely hungry for the money lessons they never received,” said Rubin. “Total Candor provides the unbiased education they need, in an open environment where they don’t have to be concerned about someone trying to sell them something. Total Candor sells nothing but a desperately needed financial education, and ‘Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck’ helps us start that conversation.”
Rubin is a professional speaker who holds a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and a Certified Public Accountant.
