FINANCIAL GURU OFFERS FREE SAVINGS SEMINAR
AT ING DIRECT CAFÉ
Michael Rubin of Total Candor® provides simple steps on
“How to Live Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck” Monday, July 30 at 6 p.m.

CHICAGO, Ill. — You don’t need a New Year’s resolution, a budget or a frugal outlook on life to save money. What you do need, according to Michael B. Rubin, is a lesson in personal finance.

The founder of Total Candor®, a financial education company, says there are simple steps that people can take to start saving today. As a result, Rubin has partnered with ING DIRECT, the nation’s largest direct bank, to offer a free seminar at the new ING DIRECT Café on 21 East Chestnut Street to share those ideas.

“How to Live Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck” will be held on Monday, July 30 at 6 p.m. This one-hour seminar is free to the public and those who attend will receive a complimentary copy of Rubin’s new book, Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck: A Conversation About Income, Wealth, and the Steps in Between. Seating is limited, so those interested in attending are urged to register in advance.

“Although most people want to improve their financial futures, they just don’t know where to start,” said Rubin. “Because few of us ever receive a financial education, learning about money seems daunting. Total Candor provides a comfortable forum where people can learn how to plan their financial futures without worrying about someone trying to sell them something.”

Designed to serve as a physical touch point for the ING DIRECT brand, the Café offers free internet access as well as Peet’s Coffee beverages, food, merchandise and information on ING DIRECT’s simple financial products. The Chicago Café opened on June 30, giving local residents a chance to preview its unique interior and meet the knowledgeable staff. A grand opening launch party is scheduled for September. ING DIRECT also offers Cafés in New York City, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Wilmington, Delaware, where its corporate headquarters are located.

For free financial resources or information about Rubin, Total Candor or Beyond Paycheck to Paycheck, visit www.totalcandor.com or call (603) 373-0373. Books can be purchased on the Web site or at any major book store.
